The Hostel at Tinker’s Station is dedicated to providing travelers with superior hostel accommodations while pursuing their interests in the Tahoe/Donner region. Tinker’s Station offers comfortable, clean lodging at an affordable price to students, outdoor enthusiasts and international guests.

Located in Soda Springs, in the heart of the Tahoe National Forest and minutes from the town of Truckee, Tinker’s Station is in close proximity to excellent outdoor adventure sites. In the winter, hit the slopes at nearby resorts such as Sugar Bowl, Boreal, and Soda Springs or spend a day cross-country skiing at Royal Gorge. When spring and summer come around, hike on the numerous trails, rock climb near Rainbow Bridge or kayak and raft on the Truckee River.

Guests may rent a bed in one of three available rooms. Tinker’s Station has a full service on-site cafe open to guests and visitors. Customers may either eat in our cozy pub area or pack a meal for an adventurous day outdoors. Staff will be available 24 hours a day for customer assistance and guidance.
